Hi! My name is Macey Pfeifer. I was born and raised right here in Hays, and I’m proud to call this community my lifelong home. I graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership, a field that perfectly aligns with my passion for helping others grow and thrive. Throughout my life, I’ve been deeply involved in volunteer work and community-driven events. I believe in the power of giving back and creating opportunities for people to become the best versions of themselves. Whether it's lending a hand at a local event or mentoring someone through a new challenge, I find true fulfillment in making a positive impact. Outside of work and volunteering, I love spending quality time with my friends and family.

Hello! My name is Laura Shoaff. Originally from Great Bend, KS, I fell in love with Hays after graduating from Fort Hays State University. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Early Childhood. I taught preschool for 23 years before changing careers.

Helping people is one of my passions and a reason I enjoy working as a Client Service Specialist. I have experienced numerous blessings that First Call For Help provides Ellis County, KS residents. Our services assist people of all ages, and many people refer to our organization as a “hidden gem”.  Although we do not have a money tree growing in our building, we do have a generous community full of resources.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, playing with my grandkids, and grandpuppies, Golden Doodle, Willow & Great Dane, Dewey!
