Backpacks for Kids
Provides backpacks with school supplies and personal hygiene products to low-income Ellis County children each August. The Backpacks are given away on a first-come, first-serve basis. To register call 785-623-2800.
For over eight years First Call for Help has been able to provide a valuable serviceto the families and children of Ellis County. Through our Backpacks for Kids program, the cost of preparing kids for school can be significantly reduced for low-income families. In cooperation with our community we can supply backpacks, school supplies, and personal hygiene items before the beginning of school to those who are not able to have these things without enduring hardships.
